Same bullet different gun, how technology could be better involved in education

Well in my presentation I wanted to show that the way of teaching had it effectiveness in its simplicity in early teaching environments, but with the demands on such a system quickly changing, and with no serious restructure created an obsolete teaching environment with inherent problems. Well in my project I wanted to show that technology being used effectively to solve these problems of this obsolete system essentially return it to the easy effectiveness it had in the past without putting any extemporaneous effort on the educator or its teaching institution. The techniques that I found seem to be easy no-brainers that can be easily integrated to learning environments.
Now throughout project I showed people educating using technology and techniques that augmented teaching and methods that were already in place .I Also used examples of new teaching concepts being implemented online. In the case of Bill and Pamela Havice two educators and education researchers who seamlessly integrate technology into their classes. They also use flipping the classroom techniques in their educating models     Thus using technology in the reinforcements of established methods already in place in education and creating a more engaging environment for students. The case of  Salman Khan  Who is basically built a school online, The  Khan Academy, I found his approach to be more on the innovative side of technology ,using online videos and diagnostics to teach and ensure leaning. I used these examples to show that you can either incorporate the technology as a tool into education environment or can use the technology has a medium for a change in the way we look at the educating in the information age we live. this whole project and the different things I heard today really opened my eyes to what can be possible in education today. If only more educators can experience things of this nature maybe there would be more involvement in the development of classroom technology, or technological gains in teaching tools and their implementation.

Blog Analysis

Throughout this year we have been tasked with analyzing many aspects of our college experience and  an Expectations. Now now in my blog posts" ask me about my wiener"I tried to convey that college in its choices are personal one that everyone has to look into themselves and realize certain things , now I admit The title was just to gaining attention.I believe I was very effective in that, while the subject was is college good enough I used a takeoff on the movie ACCEPTED a movie that deals with the same problems and questions that I was being asked address. I also used a Ted talk speech making both of these two, to express my message in a two-pronged way, thus getting my point Across by using pop culture and professional means.
In my first post" Why College" I feel that I imparted my story into the assignment making making a more powerful message was well received and in shared in a way that my classmates could understand and see from my perspective as an older student the reasons for choosing to further education and not just from the resources that  we were given to look at. Because this post had a more personal message in it thus engaging the reader.
In my post" Really What Is College for"I feel it was the most well-written Out of the things that I have written this year it may have been short but it was concise and to the point I believe that I used to use simple language to get my point across. Even though I didn't use any of the extra resources that were provided because I felt they wouldn't help me in the message that I was conveying but still I relied on my own college experience in this post.

Why College

Why go to college?  I don't know you tell me. In my opinion i would have to say yes but this isn't my first go around with higher Education When i graduated high School  in 2000, I came to college because that what everybody was doing. I never reflected on why I myself wanted to come.I wasted precious money and time. Getting drunk, high , skirt chasing class wasn't a priority. I got kicked out but that was skin off my back, I could have cared less because I had already got a gig singing back up for this Jazz group. Music has always been apart my life. It can be done without a degree. So at that point in my life college was just a bother. Then I discovered "The Industry" ,a cold uncaring juggernaut who only cares about what sells , and selling more of it, where just having talent wasn't good enough you actually had to work at getting work. Over the years I had to get  jobs doing stuff I wanted But not something I was passionate about. So after years of chilling outside Academia I came back Because I realize that if I had  a degree in music education I can be surrounded  by what I loved and still work "The Industry" .That's why I chose college .Now I direction and goals College has become more prioritize.

Ask me About my Weiner!!!!!

Is college good enough ? Thats not for anyone but you answer. Many Students  jump to this question without asking other important questions like," what do you want from college ?"You cant answer one without the  other which is a situation many high school graduates do to a more than lack luster results. As this info graphic I read recently read said that 50% on college students don't graduate and 30% drop out before there second year scary right, that happened to me I was more interested in skirt chasing and drinking and I didn't need a class for that.At that time I was thinking "No college isn't good or good enough for me."When I asked myself What did i really want from college, that when it all makes since. But then you have pick the right School which I believe is gotten harder.
This movie called Accepted where they delve into similar discussions like this, a character made this comment, "People forget the most important thing,( is) that college is a service industry","as in 'serve us ' as opposed the other way around," I thought was really right on the money, because school philosophy has change to "do what we say and get out!"So your college choice is important so that you can get the  college experience that you want. This is just a movie but Liz Coleman President of Bennigton College believes the same  as she calls that we should narrow our our educational classes to a more a balance of a socialized education but keeping our interested relevant ,this concept seems to be new or innovative when it should be the norm. These are concepts that need to be addressed back in high school when we should be thinking about What we want to be after school? or what do what from school?,What do we want from our experience in school?
So is college good enough? You really have to wait till its over to answer that.If you asked yourself all the question honestly answered  them and  got what you wanted ,had the experience you wanted  and then got the result you wanted after your few years of study, then typicaly you would say "yes"college is good enough.

Really, what is College for

What is college for ? Wow the way I see it ,it just a preparatory course for the real world. With a few exceptions you can gain the knowledge you receive in your B.A and Associate degree studies you received really can be learned from experience in the jobs you choose.  I've work at places where my boss has had a degree but I knew more the them , hey it happens.Even though that has been the case many times, College gives you an all around base of skills that you can use in so many things. It adds a malleable efficient dynamic in a prospective candidate's repertoire.Thats why employers covet college graduates. That kinda the real-world aspect of  the question.
College also give you the chance to explore interest you may secretly have .From dance to puppet making you can do it.Really the possible thing that interest you have interest others college attracts a large amount of people with varied interest and you can find them in your classes or other organizations around campus.Just look around  here at JSU so much to get into socially and professionally. So really why college basically. its a test lab for life

Why college? Such a question, when i graduated high school  college was on my mind but my heart wasn't in it .I was to into girls and parties. And my main ambition was to sing and perform.  So i went out and started my own thing I accomplish some things, Like small tours performing on stage . Then life hit me  gigs wasn't coming in  ,had to hit work force it was cool but I needed to be around music again .So i came back working on my Music ed degree. That way i can always be around music even if I'm not performing. So why college , basically its just a selfish way for me to get what I want from life.
